Use Keyboard Shortcuts to Speed Up Your Editing in Apple Photos

One of the great things about Apple products is that Key Commands are consistent across the macOS and apps. With practice, key commands are much faster than using a mouse and have been a professional trick for decades. 

For example, Command + A keys are the keyboard shortcut for “Select All.” Command + V is “Paste.” And so on. In fact, there’s not much you can’t do with keyboard shortcuts that you are now doing with a mouse click and pop-up dialogue or dropdown from the menu bar. 

When organizing in Photos, there are handy shortcuts to create a new Album, Folder and Smart Album or quickly switch between media types, among other tasks. Combined with the arrow keys, and other shortcuts you can speed up the organization of your photos. 

To see which actions have key commands just use the menu bar drop downs. They show up in the application menu bar right next to the action name.
